JDrach's 98 Daytona - Snappin chains 4 days

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Me too I love the color, if only it was in great condition though. Can't imagine what it must've been like new. But thank you! Also saw you car in another thread you made, it looks awesome.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I really like the color of these cars, i plan on some performance mods this year. My car came from the south so its super clean[no rust] i have it put away for the winters.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Lucky you. I got my car with 56k miles, kid before me had subs and stupid atermarket radio in it. Being a NW IN car, its got some rust underneath but nothing bad, and I don't have a garage so it sits outside. If only i can keep this thing clean for more than a week.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

ok so you work at a dealership, so how would i go by and getting rid of the bake on dust off my wheels? BTW there not polished.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Sorry, I'm a porter lol. Usually when theres crap on the rims, we use this Rim Acid crap to help shine the wheels up. Maybe break dust cleaner or an alcohol based cleaner?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Ik, only thing i have to do is maintenance on the tranny and try and fix my leaky headers. Thats what that ticking noise is when the RPM's get up there.

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I was shocked at how subtle it was still after deleting the resonator. I was expecting drone to the max, but its whisper stock quiet when the foots off the pedal and at cruising speeds of 60mph. But when you get on it, man its nice. I never would've thought i'd get a sound like that from magna"drone"s lol

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

I have the same car as you, and I was able to tint my entire car for about 90 bucks. Also my tint is illegal, because its to dark(;

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona

Welp I'm in need for new tires, they fronts are pretty bald and rounding at the end. For the mean time, I'm swapping the back set to the front n vice versa. Good thing is, my fathers impala just got new tires, and he's going to be ditching his impala for something else and is going to give me his tires. But I'm thinking to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and grab his rims as well. They're 16in, and the style kinda reminds me of GXP rims, but with a different finish. They're similar to my stock ones on te Daytona, and personal I wouldn't want polished aluminum/chrome wheels on my car. Should I stick these bad boys on or stick with stocks?

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- New Rims?

just dont go with black they would look so small. go white or bronze

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- New Rims?

Getting both if I can convince my dad to throw some cheepo tires/rims on them. But I love the style and finish so ill have to see :) idk about re painting them. Plasti dip in white? ;)

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- New Rims?

So how do you guys think clear corners and aluminum grills would look on my car I think it would give the front a clean look. But i think the front plate inlay with white would make it even better, but then i'd have to change the back inlay from blue to white as well. Here are some pics of a general idea:

Re: JDrach's 98 Daytona- New Rims?

Welp, changed the trans fluid with Dex6, and put in a new filter and the Trans go shift kit. In all honesty, I can't tell a difference what so ever. Trans temps are the same, shifting are the same speeds, and all shifting and downshifting feel the same. Kind of underwhelmed :(
