I'd charge it with nitro and listen for the hiss. Replaced the faulty part / almost always the condenser / and pull a vacuum then recharge it
however you find the leak - just find it. It's stupid to keep re filling it

well most of us on here are not as RICH as you are. not all of us have $10000+ in tools just laying around we work with what we can afford. yeah your way is the proper way but how many of us have that kind of cash for them fancy machines you got? my guess is nobody
let's have a HVAC mod day at my house next weekend! Crazy guy brings the stuff over, some dude brings R134, I supply beer, we work on his car and mine.
