ok one issue is what should time drop to or how much should drop when u get under a load? next one is when i do WOT throttle from a stop or even a 75% throttle from stop i get like 12* of knock. But if i let off, it drops back to 0. But if i roll into WOT i see maybe like 5* of knock. And i can hold 5 psi all the way to when it shifts, no knock. But as soon as i try to push over 5, it knocks. Now i dont even know if this knock is real, because i hear no pinging. and ive got the mininum mods needed..IMO.. 98 gtp 4" open cone, u bend delete, just changed to auto 104 today..didnt do **** really and 3.5 pulley. just replaced the fuel filter yesterday..was really bad. car has 200K on it, could this contribute to the knock? is there some kind of gasket leak like LIM or somthing like that? Serious, respectful feedback would be greatly appreciated.
 


u should really have a 3 in downpipe and a plog or headers... 12* of knock is insane. cat possibly clogged up. with 200k thats what im assuming.
 
u still have a 2.5 in downpipe.. u need a plog and a 3 in downpipe or headers... u bend and intake is not supporting mods for a 3.5. these cars knock a lil bit from the factory.
 
Probably lots of carbon build up on the pistons and cumbustion chambers, because of the miles. Have you ever done the "seafoam" thing to clean things up?
Also, do you have a wide band a/f ratio gauge? are you sure your not running lean?
You did not mention what type of tune you have.
 
i seafoamed yesterday...smoked like a *****..pretty fun..ok so you just think i need more exhaust work? i just dont want to spend all that money getting an exhaust and its still knocks..i dont have a tune right now...i just dont think it should be knock that bad for what what ive got..atleast like 3* or somthing...guess ill just try race gas
 


they knock up to 3* on stock pulley... that u bend is basically to get rid of stock pulley knock. get soem headers.. only 220 shipped.... u need exhaust work bro.
 
ok..so can anyone explain why my timing drops off so much...not even under a heavy load. and theres no kr on the scanner. say im in 3rd and im cruisin its at like 32* then i lightly accel to switch over in to the next lane to pass someone, maybe like 3psi on the boost gauge, and it drops to like 7*. But as i said no kr cause im not really getting on it, so why does it need to drop so low?
