I dont think the M90 is a compressor. I thought is was just a displacement blower. Basically a large, hot, pulley driven fan.

The MAF screen should prevent that.

I would be interested in actual dyno results. Im pretty sure it would require a tune, seeing that its suppose to add more air. I still think you'd be out almost 200 bucks + the tune. If it gave you 10 hp, I'd honestly be shocked.

displacement does not mean "fan".... The function of the blower is fan-like, but it has 2 important properties...

First off, a m90 operates somewhat externally from pressure in front and behind the "blades". Basically, you can have a large difference of pressure before and after the blower without cavitation issues.

The secondary function is the fact that a m90 will blow air into somewhere, but it will not let it come back out.

why not just hook a leaf blower to the intake and stright wire it to the battery with a toggle switch so you can have a supercharger at the flip of a switch

Give me 2 weeks and ill post up a video of the install and acceleration before and after as well as dyno before and after. If anything it will keep me busy for a couple of days. Then when it don't do crap ill return it and get a K&N intake and post the dyno on that also and I bet the intake wins.

Do you not know how much power it takes to turn the M90 on a stock car? Probably 25HP.

Have you never seen a 25HP electric motor? They weigh almost 500lbs.

Even if you get 10 hp...the gxp was much faster :th_jester: but I'm guessing this isn't going to help out performance at all. Interested in the results though.
