Is this enough for a 3.4" pulley

I have a Series 3 motor with Series 2 internals, Gen V, 180* stat, autolite 104 plugs, SP headers, will be buying an exhauast soon, and a ZZP PCM and having a 3800 knowledgeable friend tune it. Still not sure after a lot of research. If not, what size can I run, or what else would be needed to safely use a 3.4"

Thanks

*edit* car is an '4 Comp G and am also doing an EGR delete

Avoid a mail order zzp tune

3.6 for those mods, but you'll need either cam/rockers/ic/e85 can get you to a 3.4 or lower knock free with good timing

Edit: damn u scotty

I'm just buying the PCM itself and getting it tuned by someone else, and for your list, is all that needed or I can pick one to be able to run the 3.4"?

Yup pick one

Rockers would be the easier/cheaper out of the list if e85 isn't available

Also exhaust is not needed at that level unless your after tone of just wanna replace the thing, restrictive part is the stock bend downpipe which you'll be taking care of with headers

It will all come down to the tune. Kr being the biggest issue. On my 2000 gtp I had those mods and was able to run 13.5s all day long with only one other mod and that was alky injection.(imitation I/C). Now on my 04 comp the kr was much more of a problem. I had to go a different route and now I'm tuned for a 2.9" but that all came with a much higher price tag. I am equipped to run alky on on 04 but it really doesn't do any good because I don't have any knock.

you must be on e85. or running no timing at all to use a 2.9 pulley kr free.

I ran 3.4 with air box down pipe cat delete and 103 plugs with no problems in to different gtp I had

Does running gen v that much different my two cars ran that set up minus hen v for year one is still running

Gen v is a much more efficient blower. Gen v 3.6 = gen III 3.4

That's the general rule of thumb, don't get pulley happy or you'll met chip soon enough

And what works for one person doesn't mean it'll work for other people

I know you said it works, but is everything still healthy.

It may run but if you were to log the data from the computer and it shows alot of knock with that pulley and minimal mods, they in reality it's not running good and just hurting power. Using 3 range cooler plugs and only a downpipe/cat delete isn't a real good way of modding. (the air box isn't even a mod that adds power, so I excluded that)

I didn't realize that gen v made that much difference old cars was running gen 3

Just because it runs, doesn't mean it is running WELL.

Remember that, too.

I'd bet money on it a tuned car on a stock pulley that is KR free across the board will (with a comparable blower) would skull drag a knocking car on a similar blower with a smaller pulley.

But the pullied car makes cooler noises.
