Oxymoron: Civic - Fun
So ive been considering the turbo kit for the GXP, the only problem is I know nothing about cars so what im wondering is can this car run reliably with it and with how many LBS of boost? also I know the kit is pretty pricey but does give you much more power to the wheels, is the installation almost as much as the kit? if so I just dont think I could do that. all in all would this be a good investment for daily driving? any input with exp. in this would really be helpfull. Thanks.

if you know nothing about cars then DO NOT go for a turbo kit. itll be a maintenance nightmare for you which will nickle and dime you do death.

IF you knew how to work on cars then feel free.

i think u should stick to bolt ons for now! get what knowledge u can. then make that leap if u feel up to it!

another car wouldn't hurt to have either! (if goin' the boosted route)

Turbo'd GXPs are sick, but if you don't know how to work on it yourself I wouldn't do it. Like bio said, it's gunna be alot of maintnence.
And to answer your other question, yeah having a shop install a turbo will be very pricey, find someone that knows what they're doing to do it.

bolt ons? not for the GXP lol. already got whats offered. is there any heads or cams for this car or anything like that?
