since the 97 98 alternator bracket and coolant elbows are different then the 99+ is it true on a 98 block and stuff the 99+ alt and coolant braket will or will not work? thanks.:th_thumbsup-wink:
 


You just have to have the year specific alternator to the coolant tensioner assembly as the mounting is different between the years, so the alternator casing reflects this. They will bolt up to any series 2 block the same, as long as you keep them paired.
 
k good thanks i was just checking cuz i know mine fits cuz its bolted on right now :) but i wasnt 100% because i heard something about this was probably a noob ha
