Is it the blower motor??

So all of the sudden my blower motor won't turn on to any setting. I've tried tapping it.. checked all fuses and found nothing wrong. Any ideas what I need to do?

I can hear the AC compressor kick on and off from the blower settings nob but no blower.. I think I may need a new blower motor but I don't know for sure.. Any help or ideas is appreciated!!

some additional info.. I had a water leak on the passenger side of the car due to the water deflector under the windshield cowel not being in place.. this was fixed about a month ago. (it had leaked on to the blower motor when it was leaking)

sounds like the blower motor resistor, did you have all 5 fan speed settings before it stopped working?

I have had the cowl leak ruin a blower motor before. Pull it out and if you can't find a dirty connection or something, spin it with your hand maybe to see if it turns freely. Can't hurt to test light the wire before you go buy a motor, and check the fuse too. You'll like it with a brand new blower in there!

okay SO. yes I had all 5 speed settings. I did check all fuses and went in with a meter. When I unclipped the resistor from the motor a blue dust fell out.. the connection was corroded. I cleaned with a brush and connection spray.. nothing.. I pinched the connection with my finger and the fan came on.. cleaned the connection out again and sprayed it up… we got my blower motor back!!! I'm sure this happens to others that have the same leak that I had.. this could be an easy fix for some!! Fixed thank god! now I can concentrate on P1187 again lol
