So. Just found out the idling problem with my car was a bad TPS. Good news. But, before I found that out today my car had been shaking as if it had a loose wheel, slipped a few times & took forever to shift. Even got locked in 'D' once. On my way to work today I got about 5 or 6 loud knocks. Took the car to a local transmission shop were they checked the fluids, droved the car around & scanned it. Everything checked out great except for the bad TPS. Engine runs fine now, but im not sure what the level of internal damage is to it is. :(
 


i wouldn't worry about it, as long as you weren't beating the piss out of it. My 97 acts like the tps is bad every time i flash the pcm, takes about 25-30 miles for it to return to normal.
