Is an engine rebalance needed? Need help!

Just put my high comp. build together this summer. Had the crank balanced for the stock flexplate and had to add 52 grams of malory. I'm doing a six speed conversion using the stock 3800 camaro flywheel. Do I have to rebalance the crank agian for the flywheel?

Have the flywheel balanced to the spec of the flexplate you had your rotating assembly balanced to.

Also, I am not 100% sure about this, but you should not be balancing the crank seperate of pistons/rods, the crank itself should be neutral balanced.

Yeah thats what I meant, it was a balanced rotating assembly. I'm just dreading to tear the engine apart agian, maybe it'll give me a chance to try out ZZP's upcoming forged conn. rods.

So if there is a neutral balance on the crank/rods/pistons, then you need to have a neutral balance flywheel and dampner pulley....

Well looks like the motor is coming apart agian for yet another inspection, just hoping the zzp will release the conn. rods soon so i can hae the car ready for the summer.

Are the H-Beam connecting Rods ZZP's coming out with supposed to be any stronger or cheaper than the H-Beams already available?

hbeams already available? Wut?

Also... Nobody has ever made enough power to break stock rods, idk why everyone cares about building super crazy motors when they will never need them.

Yeah, Matt on here put up a similar link before. They're not exactly cheap though: eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices I saw some though for my Honda F22B1. They're about $250 which is about 25% of the Holdens V6 3.8L price, but I don't know their quality. HONDA 2.2L F22A1-6 ACCORD SOHC H BEAM ROD 5.588" a set of 4 with ARP8740 BOLTS | eBay I assume they're cheaper cause there's a larger market for them. I've spun a bearing on the Honda in just normal driving. I've seen 2 other Honda engines that you can hear the connecting rods.

Not sure if you're referring to the links I provided, but I'm sure there's an ebay seller out with that name, lol. I just looked at the Holden rods page again. I forgot, towards the bottom of the listing they offer titanium instead of 4340 Chrome Moly. Who knows what they want for those.
