Sorry if this has been argued over here before, but which is the better in your eyes? I am looking to buy one or the other since i'm deployed and get kinda bored, so something to listen to music on would be nice. Let me know.

Or if you can think of another let me know.

I would say Ipod. Some people hate ipod (or apple for that matter) but I do like Ipods. My friend has a zune, and I use it often. The directional buttons are always going out of wack. I will press down and it will go up. It drives me nuts.

But Zune is still a good buy.

I say neither. I went with a Sansa Clip so I wouldnt have to mess with any proprietary crap. Plus Im not too keen on anything from Microsoft with their digital rights management. I dont think the iPod has any of that, at least that Im aware of. Ive seen a few iPods in use and its all nice, I havent seen any of the Zunes in use. But I dont need a micro screen to watch videos on either. If I want to watch videos I'll catch them on the web or on MTV in the off chance they actually play one.

I have an old Toshiba Gigabeat that I keep in my car. I got it for free but otherwise I would probably get a iPod to put in my car. I like to listen to music before I wrestle and when I work out but I decided it wasn't worth it to spend money on an MP3 player that would either get broke or stolen. I spent $30 on one a couple years ago and listened to it a ton and it just finally crapped out on me. I would rather spend a few dollars on a crappy one then a bunch on a nice one in case it gets stolen.

I've had several ipods and haven't had a problem, but i think the zune and others are better.

My 2nd ipod was free from apple cuz i probably could of sued them for what happened with my last one lol

with an ipod do you HAVE to buy music through itunes for it to work? cause i have alot of music, i didnt buy threw itunes. if i were to buy an ipod could i get all of that music on there?

no you don't have to pay for them

you just have to use itunes to put the songs on the ipod...thats all
