Ipl g37?

So on my way back from uni to home today and a day after being overkilled an IPL g37 was infront of me and I was following him on (for this example let's say an offroad track) he decides to punch it from about 130(km/h) and I followed suit. I started to gain on him and was almost kissing his bumper at 180(km/h) when we had to shut it down. After we came to a stop he had his window down and was just staring at my car with a shocked look.

HOW THE HELL DID I HANG WITH HIM? IS HE JUST MESSING WITH ME?

Shortly after I had an Acura TSX next to me and speeding up. I throttled about half way and kept steady with him and then he started to push. We both floored and he was in my review mirror in a matter of seconds. Now I know stock the tsx is around 200ish hp so I thought it would be much closer. I have no idea in hell how I hung with the g37.
 




I'm thinking maybe he was in his top gear and didn't downshift. My buddy almost got walked by a modded 370z in his m3 because he stayed in 6th when he could have been in 4th. When they went for a 2nd round he stayed in proper gear and they were tied.
 
sounds like when i was stock, raced my brothers mustang,started at 60mph and kept right up with him to governer.
but he started and stayed in 4th gear lol.
 


Regardless if it was either driver error or he didn't care...the car makes nearly twice as much power as you.
 
smoked a 5th gen maxima se tonight. He asked me if I was supercharged and when I said no he asked wtf was under my hood :P
 


your gonna need to get a gopro for all of this... because people are starting to get suspicious
 
I know lmao. Going away for school tomorrow. When I'm back I'll go cruising with my buddy who has a go pro and upload some of my kills.
 
I won't even start to believe any of this until you say you installed a really nasty camshaft in that L36. Then I still might not believe.

Im all for n/a's guy, but you know we are pushing like 160whp stock... IF that maxima was a 3.5l, standard, with standard, means not as much hp lost as a auto, so say even if maxima lost 50hp in the tranny it should still have enough power to stomp ya..
do a speedo vid, ill compare it to my lil n/a 3800.
