Well after about a week of messing around after work I now finally have an iPhone/iPod dock installed in the car. I installed it in that little center change holder or whatever ya call it infront of the shifter ('99 GP)

I painted the whole holder semi gloss black too so it looks nice, from outside the car you cant tell its there!

I did this because ive got a Pioneer DEP-4100UB stereo and i was getting tired of always having to reach down and plug in and out my iPhone everytime i got in the car lol. So a dock was needed.:th_thumbsup-wink:

hecks, yea! i wanna see some pics of that. i want to set something up for mine, and am looking for ideas.

yea a write up would be great! what wiring kit did you use? i have a stock system and want to hook up my ipod to it, and i heard there is a wiring harness that you can buy and control your ipod through the steering wheel controls, anyone heard of it?

I didnt use any wiring kit, my deck is a Pioneer DEH-4100UB and has a rear usb connection, so ive connected an ipod cable to it and it works like a charm - the deck is designed with ipod controls too so that helps.

wow i never realized how dirty the inside of the car was until now lol good thing i just got it like a month ago and its a work in progress
 
im working on it lol, right now im also working fixing my body work, taking up some time, ive got pics done, i should be able to throw something together soon.
 


yeah the phone charges as well - i wish i could say it was hard but really the deck is what does the work i just made a place for it to sit neatly.
 
Looks good. I've been racking my brain trying to come up with something for mine. I have an 06 GXP with those giant cup holders which gives me a good spot, but I want to find a way for it to look like it should be there the way you did.
 
write up is comming possibly this weekend if i have time.

its supose to rain big time, so i will be indoors lol
