Introducing my 98 GTP

I've had this since March of this year, and became a member here around the same time seeking advice but never posted any images of the car.
I have an interest in cars, but am by no means an enthusiast. Anyway I figured some of you may enjoy seeing one of these in near-perfect condition -- stock full-package 98 GTP coupe with super low miles.
The guy before me basically kept it as a trophy car.

If you want to view higher res versions with some undercarriage shots here's a .zip file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10145629/CarPics.zip (75MB)

Only Changes:
- ceramic tints 35%, 20% in back
- new headunit
- new front and rear kappa speakers
- replaced 98 rims with the torque stars from my previous GP (a 2000 GT with 115k)
- replaced stock interior lights with red LEDS
- Intense shift kit
- Strut tower bar (front)

Holy smokes that's clean. Can't beat 40ish k miles for a 98. Car seems to be in great condition, congrats.

Yeah it's been really great. Basically like a new car...except not. Felt like I was in a time capsule for the first couple months and it still has a faint new car smell. Being in the northeast with our ****ty winters rust is pretty common on alot of cars. Luckily this was garaged it's entire life and wasn't driven in rain or snow. And I guess no one else ever rode in it except the owner so all the seats are still firm.

I'm very jealous. -___- I have a 98... with over 170k! vkfnfvmfakngsdfklmdsklmnfsdfkd;skmf. It is nice though!

well that good news for you man! better continue to take care of her!

Yeah, I'm gonna try. I've already installed the shift kit and hoping to get a cooler in sometime in the near future. I figure having them installed this early in it's life with be pretty beneficial, esp with our trannies. I do need to invest in a good cover since I can't use my garage. If anyone has any suggestions for a high quality fitting cover for a reasonable price, please let me know. I've looking into carports but I can't afford anything that will survive the winters up here or not blow away or get torn in the wind.

Seeing what other people have on theirs for mileage makes me pretty stoked for being able to keep this a while. Perhaps in 10 more years i'll have 170k!

Super clean ride. Congrats on the car, that is awesome to get a 98 with super low miles. You can tell it was taken care of :th_thumb-up:

That really is awesome though. And that means your car could take lots of mods. That's the only thing about my car :/ I should have know that buying it with 161k would mean not much mods, I was just excited to find it so I bought it lol

dont sell yourself short man!
ive seen many high mileage modded 3800s, you just have to make sure your car up to date on its maintenance especially the LIM gaskets.
