Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Intermittent vibration in the front end.

It's driving me nuts and it's noticeable at all speeds above like 25mph. It feels like I have a flat spot in my tire, or a bent wheel, the same feeling. Or im constantly driving on a road that was paved with really mild speed bumps every 2 feet. Im not sure if Im imagining it or not but it also feels like its isolated to the passenger side. It seems to come and go, though... Though its there more often than not, sometimes it feels less noticeable. Sometimes it's mild enough to pretend like its my imagination, but other times it's like wtf is going on.

I noticed that it almost goes away under acceleration, gets stronger while maintaining speed and gets way stronger if I let off the gas so the car slows down quick, or brake. This tells me putting weight on the front end aggravates it.

The first time I noticed it was a night I got stuck in snow because of fail plow drivers, so there was some wild, extended tire spinning going on, I don't know if this could have something to do with it. I know I hit a few pot holes in recent weeks but I didn't notice anything immediately after, and I didn't think they were intense enough to bend a wheel or damage a tire.

I was kind of think/hoping an alignment might fix it since its at 80k, I've had it for 10k and the roads here aren't the smoothest. I got under it in the pit and I can't see anything broken. Opinions?

rotate the tires front to back, and see what happens. ( may have tossed a wheel weight) if that dont fix it. jack it up and start all the push pull tests on each side.

So I guess I was wrong about the source of the vibration. It felt like the front at first but it's actually the rear. I figured out why.

I couldnt believe this when I found it.. these tires are probably 1 year/15k miles old.

This has to be an alignment issue, right? You can see in the second pic how the inside lip is totally wrecked, middle of the tire is almost bald, and then the outside tread is fine. The outside lip of the tire is almost perfect. It's also like this on both passenger and driver.

Well that's the inside of them... it's really not visible from the outside, Im rarely under the back of the car when Im in the pit so I didnt really put any attention to them until I went back there and cut myself on it lol.

Just ordered the new ones tonight

Make sure you check the pressure in those tires every once in awhile too. Over inflated tires will wear faster in the middle like that, too. Have fun!

And this totally reminded me of something that happened to me last summer... [hijack] Was at Kings Island with the fam, and I ran something out to the car. On the way out, I passed this woman standing by the back of her Cadillac SRX with her cell phone, a concerned look, and 2 little kids. I dropped the stuff off at my car, and she was still there on my way back in. Her right rear tire was flat. I asked if she needed help, and she said that her husband was 45 minutes away, so if I could help that would be awesome. I changed her tire for her (kinda showing the little kids how to do it, and having them help me by holding the lug nuts, and threading them back on for me) and noticed it was almost to the point of being a racing slick. NO treads left on this thing at all. Checked the corners and told her she needed to have all four replaced as they all looked like that. Went to pick the flat up and load it into the back of her car, and two of my fingers got stabbed by the steel sticking out of the tire that I hadn't seen. Man - that hurt like a b****. That is all... [/hijack]

So I drove around on those tires for about a week because I was waiting to get my replacements and I had nothin else to drive that didnt need fixin up first and it's been raining, so... yeah.

Got the new tires in, 2 days later Im driving about 15 miles to the place that's gunna mount em. It's mostly 45mph speed limits the whole way, Im half way there sittin at a traffic light and I heard a little poof and the car shook a little but it was really windy so I chalked it up to that.

Guy behind me starts flashing his lights and beeping his horn, I looked in the mirror and he's waving at me and pointing like I need to pull over, so Im like what the hell is this guy doing... well Im about 30ft from the entrance to a gas station so as I start moving I hear this weird sound, Im like whaaaat is going on. Park it, get out.. the driver side one blew out while I was sittin at the light, lol. I threw the spare on and limped the rest of the way to the garage.

While I was waiting for them to get done I was thinkin about the luck of the timing. I was sitting still... if I had put it off a day or told them I was comin by later in the afternoon, I probably woulda been on the interstate goin to my gf's house when it happened and I could only imagine how that could've turned out. So after a week of driving on it, it happened half way on my trip to get it fixed.

I got a laugh out of it anyway, and counted my blessings lol. New tires on it now, feels way better, no more vibration. Getting it aligned tuesday cause the rack was busy when I was there. Got the backup vehicle in working order so I dont rape the good tires now.
