I have a few questions about intercoolers. What are the advantages? Can I make my own? If so how much do you think it would cost? What parts would i need? Any help Is appreciated
 


The advantage is a cooler intake charge into the engine. Less KR and more power.

The parts.. phenolic, aluminum etc housing and a core of sorts. If you have the tools, you can make them.
 
I would say if you don't know what tools are needed to make them it would probably be more hassle than its worth to make one over buying. You can generally find them for pretty good deals in the FS sections on the boards. I would just start building a kit of used parts and go that route.
