intercooler question

hey guys, I am thinking about eventually getting an intercooler because my GT1 cam works best with intercooled boost..and I am top swapping my car this week. I just have a couple of question for you all..

1) can you just get the core like this one? ZZ Performance or do you need all the piping etcm like this? TRANS AM GRAND PRIX 32" INTERCOOLER+2.5" PIPING KIT on eBay!

2) are they easy to install? I just want a cheap way of doing this..something simple.

3) what about this one? 32x12x4 FRONT INTERCOOLER PONTIAC GRAND PRIX FIREBIRD on eBay!

I guess I just don't understand the concept of intercooling, do you need the whole front part, all the piping, and the part that goes under the supercharger? or can you just do one and it will be good and efficient?

you will need the core and front mount hoses and pump and coolant resivoir

The intercoolers you are showing are Air to Air. You cant use those on the supercharged units. You run hose not Air pipes. You will need all these parts. Gen3orGenV core which goes under the blower. Front mount heat exchanger, Pump,Tubing and fittings, and gaskets and hardware

I run the stage two Front mount. You mount the Front mount heat exchanger. Mount a water pump. Install the Core under the blower run the tubing. Water to Air Exceeds Air to Air cooling

that's it, size. size is what matters on a heat exchanger.
