intercooler install questions

hey guys

i ordered a intercoller for my 00 gtp from zzp performance which i now kinda regret but hey live and learn i guess. But i didn't know if anyone has doen a new high output heat exchnager yet which i guess is a little different from the first version they came out with. The directions are very vague and i hate jumping into somthing blind but some of my questions are does anyone have pics of htere intercooler installed so i can see where to mount it or where it should be mounted or if some one can just tell me. Another is do i suse the green gaskets that came with the kit or should i get stcok supercharger gaskets from napa. And A few minor other questions just like the best place to run hoses what do i have to cut out to make the heat exchanger fit.



One more thing is what pulley size can i drop to safely without have to put injectors in my car i have all the necessary flow mods that u can imagine headers, cold air intake, plugs wires full exhuast and things such as that. should i also use the ngk tr6s now in my car if i decide to drop pulleyys or with my intercooler i have tr55s in it now im just slightly confused on this whole thing i have a strong mechanical bakcround just don't wanna screw anything up

first off it can only go on one way...yes use the gaskets as the oem gasket wont work for the mating surface between the intercooler and the lim, if u dont have a modified fuel rail u better get spacers or u wont get your injectors back in, and lastly dont pulley drop without a tune
 
because its now being fed cold air instead of hot air from the blower.

everytime you change pulley size from this point onwards you're going to need a full custom tune. just a fact of modding a car safely and properly.
 


I will only have to be retuned if he drops a pulley size. Granted...with the cooler temps he could prolly get away with more timing tossed at...
 
isnt that the whole point of the intercooler though...so u can adjust timing. if not for that why add one as they r a hell of a restriction.

if you lose 1 pound of boost from the restriction an intercooler puts into the system i'd be surprised. they really arent that much of a restriction and the gains by far outweigh the costs.
 


thanks guys i sent my pcm back out for a touch up tune for 55 bucks so im happy and the samllest pulley i can drop is a 3.25 on stock injectors and be safe correct?
