Any information on the comparision of a Overkill and a Intense PCM?
I here you, I currently have a overkill pcm in which I am having problems with and have had a hard time contacting Will at Overkill form nearly a week and have not received a replacement one either. I paid via my Business Paypal account, and i am close to placeing a dispute and/or claim.
I really dont know what else to do. I orig received the first Over kill PCM around Sept 6th and I am still dealing with issues .
this is just me .02...
I wouldn't waste your money on a pcm that someone programmed for what your car "might" need. Honestly i would A) find someone local that can help you tune your car correctly B) save the money and buy a tuner.
Every car is completely different from any other, and coming from an hptuners person i love it. There is so many things that i needed to change on my car that the mail order pcm didn't. It's just a guess, there can be so many negatives they'll have on your car and there will be a lot of things that can be made even better imo. Every car needs it's own attention in certain places that other cars might not, there's no way a mail order pcm is going to take care of all of them the perfect amount, but a tuner will. They aren't hard to use, and learning how to use them is simple! just a little reading and you'll be good to go.
500 is a lot of money to most people to tune the car 1 or 2 times
I guess if you want to play you got to pay. The shop by me want 500 for one tune. then again over kill is 150 for the initial tune and 50 any time after.
When it comes to tuners and doing it yourself dont forget about:
A.) People who don't have time to learn how to tune
B.) People who don't care about learning how to tone
When it comes to tuners and doing it yourself dont forget about:

ahh... those people... ohhh i know those people.
Only eighteen posts and I'm already starting to like you. :th_biggrin2:
Then they should think twice about their motives and reasons for modding the car. When you get to the point of needing a tune, you're already getting fairly deep. If you're just looking to wake your car up and be done with it, then a PCM is a good idea. But if you fully have the intention of continuing to mod your car a tuner is a no brainer.
Not exactly correct.
These same guys telling you you should tune yourself are the same ones asking tuning questions on other forums.
