• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

hey guys once i get my 3.4 and tune done in a couple weeks should i favor a short ram open cone behind the headlight for better flow since im running more boost now or just stick with the tdc fwi?

eh... lowered cars look nice, couldnt drive mine anywhere though it sat too low. got ur blower ready when you are though.

i went ahead and smoothed the inlet for you too, no extra price of what we talked about, just do a review when you get it and i will be satisfied.

i hope they are only an inch drop, if my eibachs were actually that what they said 1.3 inches, i would have kept them on. But when i took them off i measured again and it was over 2 inches of drop!!

thats why i like my eibachs. ;) so long as i would keep the offset in check i could run nearly any rim i want.

with just a 3.4 i guess you should stick with the FWI... i wouldnt switch to open cone unless i had a serious setup with a cam, intercooler, or meth injection on like a 2.8 inch pulley

I'm going open cone when I put on the IC. The IC is just going to cool it down anyway, so every little bit of flow helps.

If you don't have an IC, you want the incoming air as cool as possible. The cooler the air starts, the cooler it'll be after the rotors are done with it.

ok, please help. i went with the short ram (just for a little while) and i cut the top of my air cleaner box (because in the air cleaner box there are wires going into it, and i really dont know what they do so i havent moved it) everything else was stock. do you think this was a bad idea? i mean its not hurting anything right? it should be helping even though its getting more warm air than cold? its still more air. what do you guys think?

So...you put the aftermarket cone filter in the stock air box? I guess that is fine...it is like the gutted air box mod for the 97-03's...what you can do is take the entire box out and cut out the front of it too for even better flow...

Yes, pretty much something like that. I cut the top off the box, so the cone filter isn't sitting "in" it, its kinda sitting "on" it. Lol. I ghetto rigged it up. Its almost like its pulling in warm and cold air. I might be able to post pics tomorrow. If I can copy a picture into the reply box. I never tried it.

Use photobucket...way easier. Just copy the URL to the post and the pic will appear. Magic.

Just run a pipe to the inlet of the stock box IMO and put a cone filter IN IT, not on it ;)

I've always been a fan of the FWI. I've run it on my 2.8 setup for over a year now.

I took it off for some reason or another and man. What a performance drop I noticed the second I got back in and started driving it.

That's all I know. And that's all I can say.

All those wires going inot your Air box is for the PCM. You can take it out easily.
