Intake pipe/BOV questions...

I've decided to cross over to the dark side and go turbo. I will be using the Precision 6262 turbo, and plan on starting off with 8-9PSI. I'm
going to be using my supercharger intercooler for now, until I have money for an air-to-air. ZZP claims that I don't have any need for a BOV running 10 or less PSI.....thoughts???

You should put a temp gauge in your lower intake manifold, might be good to see what kind of temps you have. I was going to do the same thing but decided selling the intercooler was better. You can put together an a2a ic for the turbo for like 350 with a little work

I've thought about pre and post temp sensors to see the temp drop across the core, great minds think alike! :) Any thoughts on the BOV that ZZP claims I don't need?

When I first went turbo and with the CT kit, I keep my W2A IC since it worked so good when I had a 2.6 pulley on. It worked good while I had the P62 turbo. Once I went to the T67 I had to upgrade to A2A.

With the P62 and W2A I couldn't go past 18lbs of boost

CT offered a pipe that went from turbo outlet (cold) to the TB with a spot for a small BOV.

See pics below. This was right after install was done. You can also see the hoses for the W2A IC

pictures are broken. I have an aeroforce air temp sensor kit and coolant sensor kit you could buy. both are new in the box. I was going to use them, but never got around to installing and now my intercooler is gone, so I have no need. you would just need an aeroforce gauge to use them.

a quality core is going to cost you almost 350 guy.

little small but a good core. your gonna need 100+ dollars in couplers and clamps i would bet, piping, etc. i think when i did mine i spent about 800 to get everything the way i wanted and i didnt have to pay for the TIG welding work.

I found a guy on Facebook that sold his turbo kit, but still had the intercooler piping with all the clamps and couplers , got it for 100 bucks shipped. 2.5 inch, only thing it needs is a bov mount. There was another guy that out together a list of all the pipes needed so people can just look at the universal kits, and find one that had everything in the list. Or just go to cx racing and add each pipe individually.

FrozenBoost is a great outlet for all that stuff.

Honestly you can get a generic fleabay kit for $100~ or so and net all the couplers and piping you'll need to cut up and fab something.

That's what my future plan is, I already have a small Intercooler in the basement and I'll just make my piping kit
