If you suck hot air into your car your maf will tell it to retard the timing making it worse?

True...but on a highly modded car intake placement doesn't matter...

Do you not have a maf on your cars?

I used a roof pipe boot to keep my intake in the fender well separated from the engine bay.

Yup, buy "Plastic Roof Flashing" and cut it in the shape of the fender

yeah...metal flashing sucks! rattles...still waiting on block off plate. just for a little more you could get tdcracing if u want to buy one...but modding will be a must. but make your own is good...should have done that

just pick up a 45 from vibrant, and make one up like mine
for the record i moved the HID ballast, and that was my old L36

either get TDC's FWI which is top notch or a wizaired CAI which if you ask me is just a step below

or either make your own. only thing cool about the wizair is the box. tubing kinda sucks. tdc's is a very nice design. i like how its got a nice clamp to the tb and nice smooth piping.

Oh, ok after a tune...I was lost cause at first you said open cone didn't matter and then it did...it was just the way I understood it...nevermind

When your car kicks back the timing its messing with the spark then it gets to warm and cant fix the timing any more you get spark knock
