installing remote start

hello all, just wondering if anyone has ever done this themselves? i understand you wont be able to help me with my particular starter, but i was wondering how hard it is to get to all the needed wires in the car??
any advice/tips will be most appreciated! thanks in advance

I've done it. It's not too bad if you're good with a meter and know when and how to use diodes, relays, etc. Most of the wires can be had at the ignition harness or at the BCM.

this remote start system i have says it works with Passkey, Passlock, and Passlock II security systems. mine has passkey III, will this still work?

You need a bypass module for PK3. It won't work as-is. What starter is this?

it is the bulldog security rs82b. it has a little box i put a programmed spare key in....

If you've got the extra box to put the spare key in, you should be fine.
