• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Installed OEM Nav

Replaced the stock radio with the OEM Nav. For anyone doing it, you need to run the wire for the VSS and also install the Nav attenna under the dash. Dealer did the programming.

Here is the breakdown, my car is an 08 GXP:

OEM NAV radio - $600 (replacementradios.com)
OEM NAV antenna - $80 (replacementradios.com)
NAV unit physical installation - Did myself
Program NAV unit - $90 (dealer 1/hr)
Run wire for VSS - $180 (dealer 2/hrs)
OEM NAV CD - $60 (Ebay)

The wire for the VSS took longer for the tech to do because he needed to test by first running the wire outside the car first to see if it would work. But the VSS connection is needed otherwise the NAV will need to get your exact position via GPS and the turn-by-turn won't work well.

Expensive, yes, but very cool having the OEM NAV and the radio functions with a touch screen. Plus it does add value to the car.

I have a picture of it, but can't seem to get the file to upload.

Yep, it was expensive. But I did spend less then 1/2 of the $2,145 list price for the option.
Plus the heads-up turn-by-turn is a great feature.

Bought the OEM GM part number 10391240. I think it was the last one in stock, but they usually get more in stock at some point.
