Installed motor and it shuts off while driving

Hey guys. Here's the problem. I just put my motor back in yesturday and it dies on me while I'm driving. Its alright while I accelerate but when I let off the gas and go to hit the brake, the rpm's just die. Last night when I left work I go to start it and it dies right when I put it in drive. I don't have a vac leak so I'm clueless.

its was mainly for the front cover gasket. But I also replace the oil pan gaskt, oil filter neck gaskt, and water pump gaskt.

Ok, in the process did you pull off the LIM or EGR tubes? that would be my first thought about a large vacuum leak. A bad connection at the lower trans bolt where the grounds are connected might do it. Maybe the vac line under the snout took a hit while you worked on the pump.

I did not mess with the lim. I replaced that a year ago. I also deleted the egr when I installed my headers. The vac line that runs from front to back but under the snout is also fine. I am going to check that first bolt with the grounds on the trans. Do you think it could be the map sensor?

Well, it could be. However any good mechanic is going to retrace everything that was recently done because that's 95% of the time where the problem occurred.

You can check the maf by unplugging it, get the car started and keep it running until it'll hold itself up. If it runs better, then it's probably the maf.

Well now when I turn it on it starts up fine but if I hit the throttle it dies dwn and stutters. I think it might be fuel related. Do you think its the injector fuse. Cause I forgot to hook up the alternator power yestuday and it grounded while I hooked up the battery.
