Installation/Repair Guide

Hey there everyone,

I have an 04 Comp G and I am looking to do my rotors and brakes myself come summer time. My father used to be a mechanic and said that he would help me but suggested I get a repair/installation manual for guidance if needed. Does anyone have a manual or website that they recommend? I was looking at the Haynes manual but it says it doesn't cover GTP's.

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Brakes on your Comp G require the same procedures as the brake that are covered in the Haynes Manual that you have. A big thing that some people forget, is when you push back the pistons on the caliper, make sure toi break the bleeder first.

Good luck!!

another thing that people forget is to take the cap off the master cylinder, i've heard that if you do this you won't have to bleed the brake

no anytime u open the bleeder u have to bleed the system. There is a tool u can get to push the piston back with out opening the bleeder. It looks like a calk gun. I prefer to use that rather than to have to open the bleeder.
