The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Yes, I agree, it has got to be a bad ground somewhere. also, where did you run your RCA's are they with the power wire? because I have been told by Rockfords Audio Tech's that you should not run the power wire in the same area as the rca's (they "backfeed" sort of thing) so run your power wire on one side of the car, and your RCA's and Remote wire on the other side.
For the lack of sound from your sub, If I read right, it is a DVC? how do you have it wired?
so today, i grounded the rca's to the headunit, as done in the sticky, and no luck again. I got the power and rca ran on different sides of the car, i even tried changing the headunits ground to whre i grounded the amp and still no luck. guess im gonna have to look into a ground loop isolator
i got one more thing up my sleeve, me and the ole man are gonna look at it tomorrow, and if it doesnt work, we will try that when i get back for summer. my headunit is fairly new.
just gonna test more grounds. ground the headunit right to the firewall or somewhere under the dash, hopefully making it more like the ground in the trunk, hopefully getting rid of some noise. dont know why i didnt try it first. if i wasnt such a perfectionist i wouldnt even notice the noise after awhile.
Is it bad that my days are ruined just thinking about the feedback and how awful it sounds, as i sit in my basement pondering the cause. And whats worse is i havent been driving my car since xmas, and wont be until summer break. Curse you college and annoying feedback!!!
