We arent religous in any way so easter isnt a big deal to us but this year we Decided to cook a dinner for the extended fam and my wife mom completely flacked out And they are the main reason we did it Grrr sh1ts stupid cooked 3 tritips mac salad fruit salad some appetizer stuff and country ribs

They called last minute and flaked out saying they had to steam clean there carpet cause a sink flooded a little
Yet wanted to come get food and just leave

I HATE InLaws for the most part My father inlaw is cool

Yeah my inlaws hate me some days and like me the next. Mainly when they need something. My father in laws cool for the most part but the mother in law can be a real ***** sometimes.
 


this is why im not even a big family person. i dont even talk to my mother, but once a month. family events suck and unless i enjoy being with you ill skip it.
 
My wifes the one into the big fam crap I pretty much hate it all

Her mom shows up after every one else left basically got all loud and how god is everything and tryed to take all the left over food but i shut her down quick i let her pack up a couple plates and basically told her my opinions of her constant preaching that we need god and basically forced her out of the house
I seriiously cant stand her she preaches that god will save her and doesnt realize or is to lazy to do it her damn self
 
my family: bunch of drunks, fun everytime we get together.

her family: non-drunk (they drink, but not a lot), proper people.

do the math on how that works out for me.

hers her mom and stepdad drink like fish but down miserable cry and act stupid

her dad cool doesnt drink at all Recovering addict from hard drugs chooses to stay away from it I can respect that

I wish i could say no more family holidays but Im married to it
 
Same here... mother-in-law is a *****... likes me one day hates me the next for no apparent reason..

I let her move in so she could get on her feet. she just got out of a divorce. Anyways 6 months of hell and my wifie just kicked her out a week ago. I'm so happy, cuz I just bought house, closing is May 14th and I really didnt want her to move in there with us.

Anyways, I know your pain!

I guess she was talking to my wife saying how maybe i need more time to be a good father and how Her ex was so good for helping them move and blah blah blah

My wife has 2 girls now 10-8 I have been raising them since they were 5-3 her ex hasnt seen them more then a few times a year up untill newyears and now he isnt allowed to see them cause he messed up his rehab and is also being a real douche and a bunch of other crap

I have supported raised and given them everything they could need And my mother in law is going to say how much she loves my wifes ex cause he has nothing better to do then help them move every time they get evicted I gave them i day use of my truck and myself
