Hi,
I am hoping some kind person may be able to help me.
I am in Australia and have a L36 build with twin evo 3 turbos.
The engine setup is built to run 1.4 bar (20 psi ).
The australian PCMs are not up to the task of running this engine setup.
I am thinking of using a PCM from a 1998 Grand Prix GTP for supercharged engine.
Can some kind person tell me is this pcm will handle 20 psi of boost.
I want to keep a factory PCM for rego.

Thanks Apples

Well the pcm would have to be reprogrammed for the car to run right. I have HPTuners and would recomend them to you. HPTuners.com >> Performance At Your Fingertips . If you have any questions about them just let me know. like as far as if they can do a particular thing or something. Sounds like you have a real nice build comming along. Should be fun to drive when it's all done.

I am not sure if the Aussie PCM's are the same internal circuitry as the US counterparts. I would see if the pinouts are the same as a US model first. If they are, then the computer is able to be tweaked for your car using tuning software.

HP Tuners
DHP power Tuner

few others are on the market as well.

those EVO 3 turbos will spool pretty QUICK....as they do on most DSM's. there is not a lot to them....

what internals do you have?

I'd like to see a pic of your intercooler setup(s)....if/when you get close. I think that would be one nice setup! Keep us up to date with it.

Good point I didnt even think of that.

The Australian PCMs are like the old delco PCMs.
I know I will have to repin the wiring to work with the 1998 Grand Prix GTP for supercharged PCM.
Most if not all the sensors will work.
The Australian PCM on the L67 don't have map sensors.
I see the GTP L67 do.
Am I right in thinking it is a 2 bar sensor.
Can it be swaped for a 3 bar sensor and using HP Tuner change the tune to work with 3 bar sensor.
Thanks for the quick reply
Apples.

The 89 turbo Trans Am's had a factory 3 bar MAP sensor. I am not sure if you are able to pick one of those up down there or not.

That sounds great if they have a 3 bar setup.
Looks like I will be getting a PCM then.
Will have to chat with HP Tuners then.
Thanks for the quick reply.
