Does removing the gauge cluster from the car mess up the alignment of the needles and where they need to be???

I am going to do my gauges here shortly as soon as I get the bezel overlay. I want to do this without messing up anything with the needles. I am putting white face gauges that do not require removing the needles. I just need to know if I should do this without taking the cluster out. Id like to, would be much easier but bottom line is not messing with the needles so they continue to work properly!

i would just make a rough drawing, showing where your needles should be after looking at them.

you might have to take the needles off. you just take a fork and get it under the needle and pry upwards. doesnt take much. just make sure you don't move teh spindles that the needles are on. When you get everything back together, based off your drawing and your knowledge, you should know where the needles should be. you can take them off and adjust if they seem off. this is when it's good to have an aeroforce gauge :th_thumbsup-wink:

Nikki i just did mine a week ago. You can slide the over lay on just make sure all the needles are pointing up. Just wondering what ones you bought?

I took pictures of the gauge needles when I did mine and put them back in the same spot. I found it a little tricky getting them on without taking off the needles, but was successful.

Awesome! Now Im just debating putting them on with or without the overlay? The ones I got are white and go over each spot on the gauge cluster. Opinions???
