I found the forum and thought I would join. I have questions that no one can answer so why not come to the experts. I have a 1998 Grand Prix Daytona Pace Car and I'm trying to find the production number due to the decal missing inside the car with the number on it. I have tried calling Pontiac and no help there. I was going to try the production plant next but I'm hoping one of you guys can help me out.

I also am getting ready to put a new transmission in the car and do some minor restoration. Wondering if it would help or hurt the value if I put a ram air hood on the car? I am mechanically able but have never done a true restoration. The car is in really good shape except for a couple of dents and the the transmission. Car only has 78000 miles orginal and the engine sounds fantastic. I bought it from my wifes aunt for $300 so plenty of room to do cool stuff to the car.

$300 for a daytona in near perfect condition...sick deal, welcome to the forums!
The ram air hood wouldn't hurt the value, weather it would help it depends on who you sell the car to I guess.
