• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I just want to send an appology to those who have tried getting ahold of me or messaging me the past few weeks as we have been out of town a lot and work has been overwhelmingly busy this year which has lately taken a great deal of time out of my time I can get online. My wife Jen really helps out with this but she left this past thursday to visit her grandmother out of town for likely a few weeks as she was in the hospital and needs someone to be with here full time for a while. Since she isnt here to help me out with emails and messages I have been really behind and have been glued out in the garage normally until well past 1 in the morning trying to catch up with everything, then try to get to emails. Again sorry if I havent been on the boards much lately to help out and if anyone needs anything asap try giving me a call because I havent been able to get to the computer much. BTW.. I hope everyone and their families had a great easter this past weekend!

Dave

i hear ya bruther, i hardley get online much and if i do its while i'm falling asleep in my comfy desk chair :th_laugh-lol2:

any idea on why our 90 440T4 into 88 ciera swap lost 3rd and 4th?
we had em both in the first couple days then AL got a few hard as hell downshifts and now 3rd and 4th went to heaven lol
i think when we wedged the 2inch longer (125c outter & shaft, 440t4 plunge) Pside axle in we did some damage to the thrust washers (inside plunge joint bottoming out on left turns) we only drove with it for ~1 mile before it got parked and we ordered an 88 ciera 2.8L/440T4 axle...
i know that the 440 has gear output switches but it should function fine hydrostaticly with just the TCC, TV cable and modulator hooked up...

if this things junk i think i'm gonna send ya the custom 125c mech VSS to 440T4 adaptor i made...youd probably have more of a chance to use it than i would lol

whoda thunk we redneck'd/cheaped out to save a car and we lost it... sigh :th_depressed:

Do what you gotta do Dave. The freebe advice you give, although very thorough and helpful, doesn't pay the bills. Paying jobs and family first.

Glad business is jumping for you, but sorry you don't have time to enjoy it as much as you would like. I'm sure everyone here will be patient with one of the harder working and dedicated resources us GPers have. Try to snag a little sleep when you can with the coming of the next lil one. Best wishes from Jess, Devyn, and I. 5 hours away, but let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Hey hey Dave! Glad to see you are alive and well. I can understand the work thing. And I hope the wifie and expected one are doing well and all that warm fuzzy stuff.

Anyways it is always good to hear from you! I am sure you will sort your things out and come back here more regularly when your schedule permits :) You always have a home here my friend :) And one possibly in St. Louis ;) ;) ;) ;)

:th_sign-banhim:

Okay, you know Im joking. Right? Anyway, glad its busy for ya, thats money coming in but it does suck when it is at such a rate its hard if not impossible to enjoy much else.

See, you need to train me how to do what you do, then lets open a shop here in Oklahoma. Hey, stop laughing, that wasnt meant to be funny.

I'M HOME!!!!!!!!!! :th_clapping: Now who missed me??? LOL I know Dave did. I was at my Grandmas for 2 weeks and she got worse when she got home from the hospital and had to take her to the ER last Saturday and they put her back in the Hospital and they released her but the discharge nurse said that she wasnt able to go home by herself and we had to put her in the nursing home :th_crying1:. My Dad and my Aunt were planning on putting her in one this coming week but when she got worse they had to put her in one this week, I'm glad that my Dad and Aunt didnt have to tell her that they were going to put her there. She is going to be there for 3 months and hopefully be able to come home then.

Off topic, but....
Did I happen to see Dave driving a truck this past weekend at Menards??
AND- IT WAS A FORD. :th_sick1:
Tell me I was seeing things...Dave, Dave, Dave :th_angry-teeth::mad::th_scratchhead:

:th_biggrin2::th_biggrin2::th_biggrin2:

Yep that was me, busted! I drive a FORD truck now..... flame suit ready..... lol. I needed a truck and this one was a good buy and convenient for me, and oddly enough after the first 10 minutes of driving it I was sold on it as it drives really well and has been taken good care of mechanically its life. I have needed a work truck for a long time and glad I had the option to get ahold of this one.

Is it a V8? Or are you gonna drop a 3800 SC in it :th_thumbsup-wink:

At least make it "partially" good! :th_laugh-lol2:

So the wife goes out of town and you buy a vehicle...

Ha, actually I bought it before she left. I dont have my Cutlass right now as a buddy is making me a custom molded pillar gauge pod to hold 3 gauges, only 2 gauge pods are available for them, and he is also molding in my 1" tweeters on the pillars. I needed something else to drive anyways and badly needed a truck as the Trailblazer can only do so much and i hate hauling engines and trans's in the back! The truck I got is a 97 F150 with a 4.6. Not really my pick of choice but it was available and I know the owners very well and they were willing to help me out with it and let me borrow it for a few days before I decided on it so that helped out greatly. Now that I have another vehicle to drive I dont have to worry so much about the car being torn apart as I drove it often before. I have a car show to go to in early May but would really like to build another engine and get a new stall converter for it so I can start the turbo project on it, but I havent had much time to mess with it so I would really just like to have it together by summer.

Jen, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother...as I told Dave, I know pretty much what you're going through right now, only it's not quite that severe....it still sucks though. Hang in there!

Glad to have you back for Dave's sake!
