so i went to the volbeat concert in madison last thursday. we ended up riding the rail the whole night right on top of the stage and i had a fantastic time.

my co-worker started posting pictures...and i ended up in quite a few, haha.

here is a picture he took, my arm is the one up in the air (wearing the watch):

I listen to Nerd music.... and even I know who Volbeat is.

Stop working on the Slaab and go listen to some good music for a little while. :th_shakinghead2:

Your so lucky. I wanted to go soo bad. You wouldnt happen to know if there are any ffdp concerts going on anytime soon?

....this is what passes for metal today? Not that I'm huge into the metal genre, but Volbeat sounds like a pop or boy band version of NEW Metallica (which is NOT a good starting point to begin with). Kids these days....

i'm not disagreeing with you. i listen to a lot harder stuff than this on the daily grind at work.

this is more generic hard rock to me, really.
 


while i like them, i typically don't go to shows unless someone cons me into going with them. these tickets were bought by a co-worker and he said "now we're going", so i went.

otherwise you'd find me at shows like trivium, as i lay dying, pink, etc.

I wish I could... our radio picks up the only country station in town and nothing else, has to do with the tin walls/ceiling and second floor made of concrete above the Parts Dept. I'm sure, but sux. I can only get good music when I stream it online, but then my boss freaks out saying 'thats **** music from satan' or stuff like that. 60 year old country bumpkin that doesn't like anything but typical country banjo music.... someone shoot me.

I love when he takes the day off... I get to stream what makes me happy.

Now the truth comes out.

Seen them live, they're decent. Better than most metal bands I've seen of similar popularity.

agreed. i've seen them live a few times and they do put on a good show. the lead singer (michael?) is looking pretty skinny/sickly now. coke habit, anyone?
