I'm bringing up the Spark Plug Debate

Alright, I need some help. I have been hearing that the TR6IX is the spark plug of choice, I know, but here is the problem. I have a hook up at Pep Boys and they cannot get those plugs. The offered me the NGK iridium platinum (part # 1465) This spark plug is normally $11 and I can get them for $5. That is just an example. Can you guys offer me some other options for great spark plugs or is the TR6IX the end all be all for plugs with this car. Help!

Don't get Platinum plugs either, I'm pretty sure these cars do not like the Platinum at all.

But then again, that's for the V6 versions though, I don't know much about the Ls4 platform.

E3's for us are fairly garbage. Go with what others have recommended. If you can't get them locally, order them online.

Pepboys... sheesh... Go into your local Advance Auto Parts and they can get them no problem.. This is all you need to know part # wise..

They can look it up or cross reference it. Trust me... Im a AGM for Advance Auto :-D

I work at oreillys and they are 7.99 each hear. Idk if ya got one near you or not. But i thought i would throw my parts store two cents in. And that sounds like both autozone and advance stores near me. Not to be hatin or anything :)

Lol, It's all good. We call them for customers if we dont have it in stock and they cant wait for the parts to get there. Gotta love our discounts though!

Are these the plugs you have on your GXP? I have an 07 grand prix GXP, and I am looking for good plugs to use. I was told to use the NGK 61X, but on the site it said they were not for my car. How is the performance with these if you are using them? I have Bosch Iridium Platinum Fusions in right now. Haven't had any problems, but I want to put in what will be best.
Thanks

Yes, these are the ones I've put in my LS4. They are a lil bit colder plug, which help with any KR (knock retard) our cars have from the factory.
