Well I'm back but it's unfortunate. I bought this great looking gtp today. Guy told me it was great car and needed nothing. So I test drove it around town and she ran perfect. I wasn't close to any open roads to get up to a high speed. But it shifted great and accelerated good. Guy seemed real honest so I bought it for $2000. So I got all the paperwork done and was on my way home and notice that the rpms were at 3k at 60 so I put it in 3 and it didn't gear down. It's got plenty of trans fluid. So looks like the trans is crap. Not to mention the abs land ses light came on. But I think the ses light is on cause it needs some plugs and wires, because it surges when I floor it now and the ses light flashes. I'm so sick to my stomach over it. I guess I'll just have to make the best of things. I really missed my old gtp so I was really excited to get it. IMG_1539.jpeg

welcome back and I know your pain, 4hrs after I bought mine my trans took a dump on me.

Why can't folks just be honest anymore? I guess for 2k you couldn't expect a "perfect" car, just like the one I bought, but, with a little (hopefully) TLC, it can be a fine ride.

Yeah it's bull crap. I know $2000 ain't much for a car but when it's supposed to not have any problems and really does, it becomes allot. Oh well I'll make the best of it and try and fix it. I'm stuck with it now lol

Sounds like a fairly simple fix.
4th clutch hub is more than likely stripped. $30 part and a few hours labor.
He probably never noticed it just driving around town.
