ILoveAudi's 98 GTP - Turbo Hoopty

Re: ILoveAudi's 98 GTP - The End is Nigh

Super ****ty nic turbo setup. It will change in the future, but for now, super slow turbo car ftl.

Re: ILoveAudi's 98 GTP - The End is Nigh

Major oil leak now, multiple ones actually. I wouldn't be surprised if it was too low to run it in the morning. And my blow off valve won't open.

Re: ILoveAudi's 98 GTP - The End is Nigh

Removed the oil T today and put a bunch of rtv on the threads running into the block and taped the **** out of the sensor plug-in threads. I have pretty much confirmed the other leak is the rear valve cover, so new felpro gaskets have been ordered. Sadly, I won't be able to fix the car until I come back from school some weekend. I leave for school tomorrow. And the bov still isn't working, so I'm stumped on that one.

Re: ILoveAudi's 98 GTP - The End is Nigh

Oil T should be good. Valve cover isn't fixed. I got my blow off valve to finally work. I emailed zzp and they said they tend to stick when new and recommended using a vacuum pump to try and bust it loose. It worked, so at least that problem is out of the way

take the valve cover off, clean the gasket, then smear some rtv on the gasket only, then drop it on. how my last engine was. this time i used no rtv on the same gasket, and no leak.....odd right? i think it was the head top not being smooth.
