What I don't get is since I've yet to see ANYONE in support of SOPA or PIPA, why the US is continuing to push it. Are they trying to start a riot? I think with time people would start an uproar, and some people would at least TRY to overthrow the government. Why make such a big mess just to get more control?

You can't control everything thats available like information is today. Look at Demonoid, its jumped countries like 5 times in the past couple years.... COUNTRIES!!! to escape being shut down like Pirate Bay was. US can't police the world
 


One of my teachers fliped out today cause he had a little quiz thing set up online and uses links to wikipedia to so you can gain a little background knowlege. He hasnt done a quiz like this in like 3 months and he had one set up to give our class tomorrow. lol. Guess we will have to wait one day. haha

Because the owners of this country demand that the US government see it through.

Hmmmm.....a law termed loosely enough that any site (including social networking sites were protests and rebellions can be organized and orchestrated) can be shut down/banned for "harboring piracy" comes up for vote right after a law termed loosely enough that any citizen who makes the slightest derogatory remark about America/the US government can be labeled a traitor/instigator, thus, a terrorist, allowing the MILITARY (not the police, not even the FBI) to arrest you with no right to trial. If these resolutions following on the heels of NDAA passing isn't a red flag to you that something very bad is coming, you're either an idiot, or you're asleep.
