I wanna do this with my intake (except mine is n/a)... but who, what, when, where, how, why, what do I do with the MAF? :th_scratchhead:
I mean the little plug that he has running over the top in the picture. I always thought that was part of the MAF? Would it really be slower? It seems like the air intake would be more direct
I'm gonna try it, but what do I do with that little piece that plugs in that he has running across the top of the intake? or does it even matter if it's unplugged?

It's the IAT sensor. Just hang it near the filter or at least leave it plugged in. Depending on the temperature, it may raise or lower your cars timing a couple degrees, but i would not worry about it too much.
Eh, overall, not good the have this hanging like that. It needs plugged into the sensor. But with it hanging there, it is prone to fall down on the exhaust. Or rub a wire bare. Best bet is to drill a 1/2" hole in the rubber and the sensor will press in and stay there just fine. I did this on my FWIs. Started with like an 1/8" drill bit. Then 1/4". Then 1/2". The sensor will just press right in.
I got the IAT hooked up perfect, and that link you sent me scares me haha, but those are all s/c engines, and there isn't any zzp pcm's listed.. hmm.....interesting
If anything it will improve throttle response over stock intake as well as flow. There is a few places to wire the IAT and let it hang away from harm if there is no room to put it on the filter.
There is a few bad instances with ZZP's pcm's, but if I were to get a mail order pcm right now, I would not hesitate to try ZZP's first. There is much more attention to detail and they are still in business. Overkill is good but he is MIA half the time, DHP is only sold through 3800performance where you may not get a core charge back, Intense tune would be my least favorite...
Refer to this link:
Basically every pcm may have its failure, best to go with a local tuner, if not available, then pick your poison.
