Idiots broke into the wrong car

Not that there is a RIGHT car to break into, but last night my car alarm on my Grand Prix went off about 1:00 AM. I go outside and shut it off. My wife had said she heard a loud noise. I didn't see any damage, but then again it was 1:00 AM. This morning, as she is leaving, she sees my F150 has a broken driver's side window. So I go out and look. The took the cradle for my satellite radio - that didn't have the radio in it! And they took the time to unplug the power and antenna connections. Idiots!

Why do I say the wrong car? Because my GP was right behind it, and the GPS and the actual Satellite radio, not just the cradle, were right there! I'm a bit upset that my F150 alarm didn't go off, and it took the GP alarm to scare them away. I'm glad I had tinted my F150, as it kept the window from completely shattering, and there is only the hole from where the broke in.

The possibly good news is that when I called to report it, the deputy sheriff who came out told me that down the street from my house was a break in, and those people had been caught. So it's possible my break in is related. Hopefully should have one of those mobile window crews out in the next day or two to replace the window.

yeh sorry to hear that. that happened to me a few years ago when the gp was my sisters. they broke the window and ripped the radio out (stupid sister didnt have the alarm on) it sucks that there are people out there who do things like this

Sorry to hear that. Maybe they broke in to your 150 first. Then they tried to break into the GP and that's when the alarm went off.

At least the alarm went off though. Saved some of your stuff.

It appears you are correct. I had a chance to really look at the GP in the sun, and I saw several scratches on the driver's side window. I know the GP's alarm is the most sensitive, so that's probably what happened - F150, then GP.

Can anyone recommend a good glass polish? I really don't want to pay ~$200 for a new window, since they are just scratches. But a good polish might work.

That stuff pisses me off on my block some one got 6 car decks and broke 5 windows to get them My crown vic was one off the cars but I left it unlocked (not normal) so they didnt break the window,
but they only stoled the faceplate sad thing is i had just put the deck in and the pioneer keys were sitting in the little cubby above the deck.. Morons,
And my moms poor f150 has been broke into 3 time since xmas eve all in differnt locations Sometimes I really hate people

Yea i hate that stuff. I had a 93 grand prix and i moved to this little city (population about 13000) and the first time i locked my doors there after living there for two months someone steals the cd player and jammed something into the trunk lock. That was a waste for them though i had nothing in the trunk.

i live in not a bad area but not a good area either but i go hunting theres a hunting spot by my house 1/4 mile away and i was letting a couple rounds outta the AR-15 when i 1st got it so i guess pepople gathered cause i came outta the woods with this big ass rifle with a bi pod ever since them nobody has rele done much to me but this guy next door got his tires cut on his G35.....i hate people who do crap like that
