Ok so I go to my girlfriend-ish's house last night and park in the driveway next to a couple other vehicles. A couple people are there and they're throwing fireworks straight into the air right in the driveway in front of the house, probably only like 15ft away with the wind blowing at least like 10mph back towards the house. Already sounds bad right? So I tell them how they really shouldn't be doing this close to cars or buildings and they just shrug it off. Yeah, so genius girlfriend-ish throws one and it lands on my car and I start getting all pissed off. Immediately following, girlfriend-ish's friend (guy) throws one into the air and it too lands on my car. Then girlfriend-ish's sister and friend (girl) are saying how fireworks can in no way damage the car. At this point I'm like wtf are you people complete fùcking idiots? Incendiaries apparently (according to these morons) can't burn things like paint and clear coat. Some of the stuff washed off cause it was just ashes, but I now have some sweet burn marks on my roof. Sweet as in super fùcking gay. I told girlfriend-ish last night that if there was any damage she was going to be paying to repaint my roof. Well today I confirmed the damages and she refuses to pay but still claims to be 'sorry'. I don't care if she is my girlfriend-ish, I'm not going to let her fùcking destroy my shìt and not pay to repair it, especially when she's saying it's fùcking karma and that I probably deserved it. IT'S NOT FÜCKING KARMA IF IT'S 100% PREVENTABLE BY NOT DOING STUPID FÜCKING SHlT.

i think i would make her agree to taking it in the poop'er every week for a year,(in writing) and then do a compound and polish, then call it a day lol

if the clear is just burned a little then 2000grit and polish should take care of it. <50
if the spot is dull past the clear then it needs to be re based and clear < 800$
 
Well my phone's camera can't focus that close to the car. The spots are each about the size of a pea or smaller and there are like 5 of them. I'm pretty sure the clear is just burned so I'll try the sand and polish method. You should PM with me on moar details about how to do that lol I've never done any sort of painting before. I'm still gonna make her agree to something though, this is pretty big leverage ;)
 




This really makes me angry cause I've known some people that can be that way.

You tell em to stop but they dont see why, or they dont think it's a big deal so they'll keep going. End up damaging something of yours, like you told em they would, and they just shrug and go "LOL SORRY!"

Like yeah, having a flawless paint job on my car is a passion of mine, my car looking good is important to me...

Why dont we take a match to something that you're passionate about that will cost big money to replace... When I say "LOL SORRY!" ... Will it still be no big deal then? Or will you get pissed off and freak?

You'd think they'd have enough respect for you to not damage your car after you asked them to stop. If this is the way she's gunna be, I'd think twice about it because that's just plain effing ignorant to take what is essentially FLAME to someone's WHITE car paint... someone who obviously cares about their cars appearance, and then blow it off like it's a little oopsie daisy, and that bs will only get worse as she starts feeling more comfortable around you. (I know you didnt ask for advice, sorry.) I just hate ignorant people.

Ok, sorry, your story got me mad too cause I'd decapitate people over damaging my car's paint that way. :p
 
If you saw the person actually launch the oblects that damaged your car, and they are over 18:
1) take pictures
2) have witnesses
3) get repair estimate
4) file lAWsuite
5 Take them to JUDGE JUDY, she has no tolerance for idiots!
