Identifying a 4T65E-HD?

I'm new here with a quick question. I'm putting a SBC (350) in a Fiero and know the stock auto tranny will not hold up. I've lined up a 4T65E that I'm going to buy (and will need an electronic controller for it). The person that I'm buying it from thinks it is a 4T65E, not a 4T65E-HD, but isn't sure. The ID tag is gone. Is there a way to tell externally if it is an E or an E-HD? Keep in mind I only have this one tranny to look at, so I can't do a comparison with another.

thanks,
Rick

The easiest way to tell is by removing the differential cover and looking at the diff. If you can take a pic and post it up great, if not then you can compare on my website the differences between the non HD and the HD diffs..... 4T65E Parts
Also in the end of the diff cover you will ever find a bronze bushing OR a roller bearing to support the end of the diff where the passanger side axle goes in. The roller bearing covers are used with the HD diffs.
