hey i have a question. i have a 01 grand prix gt and im thinking about replacing my original steering wheel with the new ones from 04 and up in it. will this work.

dissconnecting the airbags = bad idea, new steering wheel and if u can get the paddle shifters to work = good idea, can it b done???

I don't believe keeping the airbag is possible. Although someone did look into moving from an 00 Regal to a newer LaCrosse/Lucerne for me and he mentioned that the splines are different. I really need to pull both and take a look

No, because the paddle shifters are wired into the TAPShift specific transmission that is only on TAPshift cars.

i just really think itll look sharp in the car. the steering wheels it came with were so boring. if i cant get a new steering wheel i guess ill just get a cover.

After being in a wreck where the airbags saved the lives of my girlfriend an I....

I'll take an uglier steering wheel so my face doesn't meet the dash board when someone pulls out in front of you and you can't stop in time.

/hijack...continue.

Having a cool-looking steering wheel may be....well cool, but IMO it's NOT worth the risk you are taking by disconnecting the airbags. May look cool driving around town, but I guarantee that when you plant your face into it at 50-60MPH it won't look so cool. Looks are nice, but your face, and maybe even your life, are much better to have than a cool looking steering wheel.

eh okay yall r right. thanks for the help everyone.

anyway, anyone know were i can get a cold air intake thatll fit in the fender well. all i can fin are the k and n intakes that go right behind the head lights.
