Bro.. I thought you got pulled over for the tint on your tail lights after I just gave you my tinted ones, I felt so bad lol
 
He didn't say ANYTHING about them AT ALL. I was like wow...so your gonna give me a ticket for something that doesn't really even matter but you don't care about my tailights that could make it harder for someone to see me slowing down...that makes a whole lot of sense.
 
I've driven in front of multiple cops with those tail lights, I guess they're "cop" proof lol

but seriously.. that blows, I was afraid I was going to get pulled over for tints also..
 


When we got pulled over yesterday the cop didn't say anything about our tinted tails either, and mine is no night shade, it's paint.. lol
 
I saw 1 cop going there...and 1 cop on the way back. Hell...I saw more cops in Charles City then I did on the entire trip.

Did I mention I passed Iowa State Troopers at over 80mph both ways right outside of Des Moines and they never even pulled out.
 
I hate you....i casually do like 67 and get a 127 ticket..you do 15? over and get nothing....so i guess if i just speed from now on ill be ok.
 


Thats basically what happens...that and cops in Missouri actually communicate with Dixie Cups...so it takes awhile for them to catch on if your going 85.

i would never own one. anyone knows you have one around here, youre gonna get your window busted. hell, i got my belltronics after i found out that its a rebranded escort passport 8500 just so if peeps see it, they think its a cobra :D
 


The state patrol started cracking down on window tint about 4 years ago, i think some of it has to do with easy to spot, money maker and the fact that most of them driving through with window tint from out of state move some drugs. Anyone from Iowa knows this and you can obtain some tint exemption cards from the eye doctor but it still doesn't let you go very dark. I've heard a few stories where they have talked to local eye doctors telling them not to give these exemptions out that much.

Kind of like the automatic speed cameras they have setup, i got a ticket in the mail one day for $70 some for going 45 in a 30 or something, while I paid my ticket online i saw you could watch a video and shows my car and I'm getting passed by another car... crock of ****, but a good money maker that no one in these times can justify getting rid of yet

austin. we've talked about this! i told you to just drive comfortably, whatever speed feels good to you, drive it. that's what i do!! ive been pulled over in the minivan and the jeep, but *knock on wood* never either prix i have owned. and i had ILLEGAL ass tint on the GT.

but yeah, drive comfortably. i mess up if i drive too slow because im too focused on the speed limit. :th_nervous:
