IAGP meet 2011

farns, the fact of the matter is that this probably wont stack up to branson in any way. i realize where youre coming from with having little interest in this meet. i probably would too if i was in your shoes. the crowd is a lot younger, the organization is a little lacking, and the main part of the meet is in some dudes lot in bum**** iowa.

either way, i hope to have some fun and meet some new people. that is the point, right? you know you're always welcome. you've been in the scene for longer than probably all of us. it'd be nice to finally get to meet you in person, but maybe it'd have to be another time.

I hear ya.

Its the same stuff I can do here is all I was saying really. If they plan more, or make it more worth while for me to make the trek up there, I would probably consider it, if not go all together. Driving 5 hours for a drunk fest is not how I would want to spend my hard earned vacation time. Must be the young thing to do huh. LOL

They plan and do more fun stuff, ya...they would have my interest for the meet, and probably a lot of others from other states.

Regardless, there needs to be atleast one BIG meet/gathering once a year.

i agree with you about the one big meet each year. that is why someone, if possible, should take the branson thing into their own hands and make sure it happens. i was fairly excited about seeing some of the top grand prixs in the country.

ok guys so here is the thing.... I know there will be drinking here at this meet... But after talking to farnsworth about it all he made some sense to me. I think i need to find some stuff to do so like all day saturday we r not just sittin there and doing nothing... I dont weant this whole meet to just be a sloppy drunkin mess... If anyone has any ideas on what they would like to do please let me know :)

we all pay $10 and that should buy plenty of stuff and you guys are local, shouldnt you have some grills?

If not, rent one?

i have no way to get my grill to nicks house lol and im not stuffing it in my car.
And if we grill would u guys still wanna go out to eat for supper before we race? Cuz i was also thinking at about 4-5 we all roll out and start to head to cedar falls (30 minutes away) and we can go for a little cruise and than head to the nature/wildlife park and do a photoshoot for anyone that wants some good pics with some cool backgrounds. Than around 6-630 we can start to head to eat at the casino buffet. Than around 8 we go to the racetrack...

ohhh shyt i forgot that. That is very true. What do u guys think about grilling out at the park....? and just hangin out and takin some photos all day long'

Grill to people ratio wouldn't really work out in our favor. Bringing meat and trying to keep it cold through friday into saturday evening could be a pain. I would also worry about a few irresponsible people ruining it for others.
