• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I think I have them fancy 2 piece pistons now by accident

A penny sucked through the LIM and spat out? Damn thats lucky.

Does she have her cat still? Id be inclined to find that lucky penny.

Up into/through the SC, down the LIM into #3, bounced around long enough to wipe out a plug and seems to have come out.
My suggestion was ... put in a new plug, drive on.

Just an update. Going to be posting a full rebuild thread with photos later. Pulled the engine in 4 hours start to finish. Not too bad for a 20 year old kid that never pulled a 3800 out before (I had done just about everything else on these damn cars). Currently putting all the bits onto the "new" 100k mile block. Had to use a sledgehammer and block of wood to get the damn comp valve locks out. Damage total was a chipped #3 and a chipped #5. When I put #5 at tdc it is sitting in the cylinder at a very concerning angle so my guess is a busted piston skirt but ill find out once I pull it out. Also took a chunk out of the exhaust valve. #3 looked perfect other then the chip. Also sourced a torque converter to replace my busted one. My guess is 2 or 3 more days because I have to work full time.

Yea... multi piece pistons...
