I dont think it has a cam in it, because it would sound like the "rough idle" when you first started it. When you first start it it sounds normal to me.
 
^This^ Most cars with a cam will sound smooth at first, then as the car settles in the cam becomes more pronounced.

After listening to the video it almost sounds like either a Nic cam or an XP hot cam. I'm not a 3800 cam expert but from others I've heard that's what it reminds me of.
 
Yeah it's really annoying not knowing for sure if it is or not, I'm almost ready to pay a shop to tell me

You dont like the cam sound? What other mods are you putting to the engine? Any way a cam is gonna help regardless

Like have an intercooler and ported blower with 42 lbs injectors smaller puller and am planning to get the PCM re flashed so I'm sure it would throw it off if there is a cam and that's not in the tune

Maybe the current tune will have the answers as it would have been set for a cam if it does have one in there.
 


It accelerates decently quick, I did put the zzp stainless headers and 3 inch downpipe on right when I bought the car though too

Who has a cam any cam and makes 20 inches of vacuum at idle in gear or park?

VS is a mild cam and I don't on the original L67 or the L26 block.
 
I actually have a video of it right before I got the exhaust welded back on when it was just open headers and it sounds just like its camming. Let me find the video and post it real fast

Oh yeah also when I live scan all six cylinders for misfires it reads it's misfiring all over at idle and as soon as it goes under load all cylinders read 0 until idle again.
