I have a 2000 gp about a month ago, my third one i've owned , and since then I have replaced the washer pump, the blower resistor, the sway bar and links that snapped on me while making a u turn, so I am pretty much mechanically inclinded.

Now the next project is to tackle the wheel bearings I think.

here's my problem..I get the noise up front that gets louder as I speed up, it's like a growl, hum, woo woo woo type noise, no grinding though. when I'm on a winding road when turn to the left it gets louder when I turn to the right it stays about the same level of noise.

So am I safe to say yeah its a wheel bearing and if so how can I tell for sure as to what side is bad..

thanks for any help,,

just change them both. I had one bad on my aurora and the "bad one" was def bad but i figured i'd change them both and when i pulled the other side it came out in 3 pieces.

Should be the right one bad if it is louder turning left. Also jack the car up and see if you have any play putting your hands on the wheel and move it back and forth.
