I need Realible CV joints w/ Slicks...

Looking for some good realible CV joints for my 99 GTP. I plan on running on slicks so I need something that will take some abuse. I really don't want to spend the $$$ on SFPHQ shafts, i'd prefer to get something local with a lifetime warranty so I can trade them out every once in a while if at all possible. I just don't want something that will need to be replaced all the time, that will get old quick. I've heard bad things about the Cardone shafts.

I'm not interested in the ZZP or W-body store shafts so don't mention those.

I would like to get new GM shafts but I hear they cost about as much as SFPHQ shafts.

What are my options? Thanks!

autozone. remans not the "new" ones. lifetime warrenty and you dont have to keep up with the recipt. just got to keep up with your phone #.

I run the GSP from advance, happy with them, lifetime warranty baby... had to trade in already cause my damn sway bar link tore the boot but they had no problems taking them back. They are $69.

From what I see the ones from Gm are between 600-1000 each depending on which side it is(for the GTP anyway) If money were no object are the SFPHQ's the best on the market? Are they better than the GM's? Sorry to hijack the thread.

I have a set as well, the only problem with their "lifetime warranty" is if you actually ask the man behind the counter what it is, he will tell you it is only good for one extra set of axles. And if you waste that second set, you are SOL. CarDone, I think that is their name sell some really good "brand new" axles through Rock Auto and their lifetime warranty is actually a lifetime warranty, not just a second replacement, but a permanent one from what I can tell.

The GSP's looked like remans to ma. The CarDone's are truly brand spanking new. And their prices are quite competitive to boot. And with Rock Auto, you will get them in less than a day or two. We actually have a huge warehouse they go through for their parts, and I drove down there and picked them up myself.

They're a good deal I would say. Here is a link to their site.

Cardone Select is new parts. The A1 Cardone brand are reman'd, so make sure you know what you're buying (both are sub-brands of the Cardone company). I too bought Cardone Select axles through RockAuto and never had an issue with them for the three years I owned the car with them installed.

I can assure you the GSP's are brand spanking new, and i have traded them out 3x for each axle already due to my messing them up, not the quality. They had no problem exchanging them, the people who work at advance auto arent too bright anyways.

anyone? The Best?

Why would you spend $600 on an axle if you can get them for under $100 with a lifetime warranty?
so you dont have to change them every year... I want to put in one good set and forget about it. That is worth the extra money to me. maybe not $1000, but for $500 I would. So what is the best?

Wish I could get Cardone's at Oreillys like I used to be able to. Now all that have is MasterPro. Wonder if there worth a damn. The have new sets or reman, both with Lifetime warranty.
