does anyone know how to remove the shifter handle off of a 1999 grand prix se...i jus bought an aftermarket shifter handle but i cant get the old one off...thanks
 


First off welcome to the site. As for getting the shift knob off, on the front of the knob, where the lock button is, therre is a small slit. Using a small flathead screw driver or pick tool if you have one, there is a clip that has to be pulled out. It may take a couple tries, but it'll come out. Get that out and it'll slide right off. Let us know if you need anything else.
