I Need Help! Major Car Problems :( I Feel Like Crying...

A little seeping leak is nothing as long as you've kept the oil level up where it should be.

Now.. you say you were out with your friend. This "happened" when you stopped for a light and while that is possible, it's my experience it's not always the case.

Lemme ask you this question then.. how fast were you going say in the 20 minutes before this..and or .. did you win the race?

Yes about EXACTLY 20 minutes b4, i floored it on the freeway to see if the car was any fast. It got up to 80 MPH and didn't accelerate anymore, which is probably when it "happened".

Sucks that you only got to 80mph. Likely though..if it stopped accelerating, that's when the knock sensors detected an issue (noise) and pulled timing which you later could hear.

What else is sqeaking/tapping in that vid? It almost sounds like the waterpump is bouncing around. Although it does sound like a rod knock, have you tried removing the belt and starting it for a short time to see if the noise stops? Obviously don't let it run for more than a minute or 2 w/o the belt.

I've done work on other cars where accessories go bad and have a knocking noise (waterpump once, tensioner pulley x2). I just wonder that if at 80mph (which would be about 2500+ rpms in a GT) something is wobbeling enough to be picked up by the knock sensors?

Just trying to look at this from another angle (hopefully a less costly one)

Actually it was getting up to 5000 RPMs (no idea what gear) at 80 mph, so took my foot off the gas, idk.

Ok, when I went to the mechanic, he just said the oil pan was the main problem. He said it was leaking, but we only saw a drip or so of oil every two days, so we didn't have it fixed yet. On the other hand he said we didn't need to get the other leaks fixed right away. SO it doesn't really sound like my fault, so quit making me feel like it is.

Of COURSE it's not your fault, you admitted in your post that your mechanic told you about all the gaskets that were bad. Gaskets aren't made to leak..........shocking, I know, but true. If one is leaking, it is a PROBLEM and needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY.

But of course it's not your fault..

LMFAO at the rest of this post though............now the kid says he was going WOT to see if it was "any fast" with a broken oil pan gaskets, LIM gasket, and valve covers.

You fail at cars, buy a hundah

Go drive off a cliff, jerk.

new motor or new push rods and whatever else needs to go with it! either way its gonna cost a little more to repair than replace the engine

new motor or new connecting rods and whatever else needs to go with it! either way its gonna cost a little more to repair than replace the engine

fixed. connecting rods and crankshaft. but the rest it true, it'll be cheaper to buy and swap in a replacement motor

we didn't know it was causing a problem! The mechanic never told us it was.

Ok i'll give you the benefit of he doubt right there.

It does suck your motor is trash but you can get a drop in motor for a decent price these days other than being out X amount of money to get it done.
